Bridlewood Farms is a full-service hunter/jumper barn located thirty miles southeast of Denver in picturesque Elizabeth, CO. Internationally renowned hunter/jumper rider and trainer, Michael Dennehy is owner and head trainer. He prides himself on providing first-class care and training for both horse and rider. Programs are tailored to help fulfill each individual goal and need. As a result, Bridlewood is well represented and its horses and riders are consistently successful at both local and national horse shows.

MICHAEL DENNEHY

Michael has been involved in the horse industry for the past 35 years, 18 of which he has ridden and trained in a professional capacity. Having worked and trained under some of the best riders and trainers in the business including George Morris, Wilson Dennehy and Bernie Traurige, Michael’s programs were created based on concrete and proven techniques and riding principals.

Michael has competed successfully across the country and internationally in the hunter, jumper and equitation disciplines. Career highlights include; top ten in the Medal and Maclay finals as a junior, winner of numerous local and national grand prixs and hunter classics and trainer of the Amateur Owner 18-35 horse of the year in 2006.

Under Michael’s guidance, Bridlewood horses and riders have qualified for and successfully competed at the prestigious Pennsylvania National Horse, Washington International Horse Show and Syracuse Invitation Horse Show.  In addition, in 2007, nine Bridlewood horses and/or riders were recognized by the United States Hunter Jumper Association as being in the top eight of their respective divisions in zone eight, six of which were recognized as champion and two as reserve champion.
